
On December 17, 2022, Al Geemi Contracting Company marked a significant milestone in the Razeen Labour Cities Project by successfully completing the shutdown and connection works for the DN1000 TRANSCO main water pipeline. This achievement is part of the External Infrastructure Works for the South Al Wathba project, awarded by Musanada with a total project value exceeding AED 400 million.
Project Scope and Activities
The shutdown involved extensive work on the DN1000 Transco main water line, which supplies water to Al Ain. The task included the construction of various chambers and accessory fixtures, such as:
- Flow Control Valve Chambers (FCV)
- Motorized Valve Chambers (MOV)
- Flow Meter Chambers (FM)
In addition to the DN1000 pipeline, the project included the installation of several other major pipeline sections, including:
- 2,400 meters of DN800 pipeline
- 4,800 meters of DN700 pipeline
- 5,500 meters of DN600 pipeline

This broad scope required careful planning, precise execution, and collaboration across multiple departments to ensure the project stayed on schedule and met the highest standards.
